The maximum price under the first category is Rs 3.5 million and the maximum financing is Rs.2.7 million. On the other hand, the maximum price under the second category is Rs 3.5 million and the maximum financing is Rs.3 million. Whereas the maximum price under the third category is Rs 6 million and maximum financing is Rs.5 million. The tenor in all the categories is the same as 20 years.
Pakistan has a total population of 207.8 million according to the 2017 census and the annual demand for housing is 40,000 to 70,000 units. Thus, this landmark initiative will help to cover up the housing demand as more people will be able to come out of the affordability crises to get their own house at a subsidized rate.
